Focus and Scope
ELTIS focuses on research and scholarly discussions related to English language teaching and language learning studies, bridging evidence-based research with pedagogical practice and educational innovation.
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):
- ELT pedagogy, instructional strategies, and classroom interaction
- Teacher education, teacher identity, and professional development
- Curriculum studies, materials development, and instructional design
- Language assessment, classroom evaluation, feedback, and testing
- Technology-enhanced language learning (CALL, mobile learning, blended/online learning, AI-assisted learning)
- English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and English for Specific Purposes (ESP)
- Applied linguistics for ELT (SLA, pragmatics, discourse analysis, sociolinguistics) with clear pedagogical implications
- Teaching and learning of language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) and language components (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation)
- Inclusive, culturally responsive, and intercultural ELT
- Classroom-based research methods (action research, design-based research, mixed methods) and research synthesis (systematic/scoping reviews)
